Sails: Elliott/Pattison Sailmakers 169LP genoa and spinnaker, and Pandora main. Backstay at 3.

In setting up the boat to race, mis-located the genoa cars, placing them at the location for the 135LP sail...no excuse. While we attempted to check the car setting by checking when the different telltails break on coming up into the wind, we did not correct the car setting. During the first boards, we moved the cars back, in several steps, not getting the cars into the correct position till the downwind leg. This cost us dearly. The tacking angle was 125* in place of 100*, allowing the rest of the fleet to sail away from us.

As Skybird reached marks on the course, asked the crew for the time. Skybird reached the weather mark at 1904, R"8" at 1924, and G"1SC" at 1930, to finish at 1945. Constance reached the weather mark at 1910, R"8" at 1932, G"1SC" at 1940, to finish at 1948 per the track . Gained seven minutes in the mooring field...seems unlikely. Suspect that the times for Skybird are incorrect. Elapsed times comparing last week and this: Egos: 55:02, 57:34; Problem Child BC27: 1:02:08, 1:03:05; ANSS: 1:08:34, 1:06:36; Constance: 1:12:35, 1:12:59; Rinn Duin: 1:25:55, 1:16:50 (at R"8" about a quarter hour from the finish); Ronin: 1:18:30, DNC; Skybird: DNC, 1:09:58.
